Registered Dietitian opportunity in Jackson, MI. This is a high-paying opportunity offering $70–$75/hour ($2,800–$3,000/week) with a 13-week contract, possible extension, or full-time placement. Schedule and shift preferences can be discussed based on candidate availability.

The ideal candidate will have recent Registered Dietitian experience in an acute care, nursing home, inpatient rehabilitation, or LTACH setting, along with experience in NFPE and enteral/parenteral nutrition.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Perform Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE).
  • Monitor patients' nutritional status and adjust nutrition interventions as needed.
    Provide nutrition support recommendations, including enteral and parenteral nutrition.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as part of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families when appropriate.
  • Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and follow-up care accurately.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes related to nutrition therapy.
  • Support nutrition management for critically ill/ICU patients when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required.
  • 1+ year of recent full-time RD experience within the past 5 years.
  • Experience in acute care, nursing home, inpatient rehabilitation, or LTACH settings.
  • Experience performing Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPE).
  • Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition.
  • ICU/critical care nutrition experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical nutrition assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
