    Short Description

    The Registered Dietitian is responsible for the medical nutrition therapy of gastroenterology patients. oversees assessments and monitoring specialized dietary programs, patient education, care coordination, nutrition care plans, diet counseling and consults regarding advance nutrition support as well as assist in other areas related to the Division of Gastroenterology. Under general supervision it is responsible for providing optimal nutritional care to patients which compiles with the Joint Commission and Title 22 regulations and the standards of care in the dietetic profession.

    Experience Required

    Minimum 3 years clinical experience.

    Education Requirements

    Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required.

    License/Certification Requirements

    Registration with American Dietetic Association required.*Proof of required RD License(s) and/or Certification(s) due at time of hire.

    Advanced dietician certification through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or Master Degree required
