About the Role:Carimi Dental and Sedation is looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in beautiful Daniel Island, SC! This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, patient-focused practice where your expertise and care make a real difference in people's lives every single day.
Responsibilities:- Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures for a diverse patient base
- Work with doctor to conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and cancer screenings
- Take and review dental X-rays and document findings accurately in patient records
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, home care routines, and preventive strategies
- Collaborate closely with dentists to develop and communicate individualized patient treatment plans
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and compliant treatment environment following OSHA and infection control standards
Requirements:- Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of South Carolina
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with dental practice management software preferred
- Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dental care
- Excellent chairside manner with the ability to put anxious patients at ease
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
