    Description

    We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and team-oriented Oral Surgery Assistant / Registered Dental Assistant to join our oral surgery team. This position will work directly with the Oral Surgeon and clinical team to provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

    The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a surgical environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is committed to patient safety and a positive patient experience. Previous oral surgery experience and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant (OMSA) certificate is preferred.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Dental assisting experience required; oral surgery experience preferred
    • RDA and OMSA certificate preferred
    • Current BLS and applicable dental radiography/X-ray certification
    • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
    • Professional, dependable, and able to work effectively in surgical environment
    • Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
    • Spanish speaking preferred

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide chair-side assistance to the Oral Surgeon during surgical procedures
    • Prepare patients, operatories, instruments, equipment, and surgical materials
    • Obtain dental X-rays, monitor/document vital signs, and perform other clinical duties within applicable scope and certification
    • Provide pre- and post-operative patient instructions and support patient comfort and safety
    • Follow infection control, sterilization, and surgical asepsis protocols
    • Maintain accurate patient records, organized operatories, and appropriate surgical supply inventory
    • Collaborate with the surgical team to support efficient patient flow and daily operations
