We combine our individuality and child-centered dental expertise to practice group dentistry to create healthy smiles and positive experiences that last a lifetime. By working together as one team, we provide compassionate, high-quality care tailored to the unique needs of every child and family.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work in a pediatric, child friendly environment
- Review all hygiene patient charts including; reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirement
- Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards
- Have coronal polishing certification - We are able to provide a sealant course!
- Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian
- Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns
- Charting all existing/missing teeth, existing restorations, and/or dental procedures
- Obtaining all x-rays necessary in the best quality possible
- Maintaining accurate clinical notes of each visit
- Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards. This includes; scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizer
- Must maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state
Qualifications:
- Current State of TN RDA License
- Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification
- Polishing and Radiology Certification

Who We Are
Cumberland was formed in 2012 by four dentists with a desire to make a difference. Their vision was to create a company that positively impacts the lives of children. Today we have grown to eight locations in middle Tennessee, all owned by partnering dentists now employing over 150 team members. We utilize the individual strengths of all our employees to create the brand you see today.
