A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Charge Nurse (RN) to join its Medical/Surgical Surgical Unit. This leadership role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while mentoring staff and promoting clinical excellence in a collaborative acute care environment.
Provide direct nursing care to a designated group of medical-surgical patients using the nursing process and established clinical standards
Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities while supporting efficient unit operations
Utilize effective leadership and managerial skills to guide patient care delivery
Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource for nursing team members
Delegate appropriate patient care activities and monitor the quality and effectiveness of care delivery
Promote evidence-based practice, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Support staff education, professional development, and onboarding initiatives
Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
Demonstrate professional accountability and commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification if required by the department
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, or an approved RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification required within seven months of hire or promotion
Minimum of two years of Registered Nurse experience required
Previous leadership experience preferred
Nursing specialty certification preferred
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
