Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavioral Therapy Intern
Location: Greater Sacramento Area and Surrounding Communities

Compensation: $17.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience, education, certification, and qualifications

Reports To: Clinical Supervisor / Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Position Summary
Spectrum Analytic Consulting is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavioral Therapy Interns to provide individualized behavioral support services to autistic children and their families throughout the greater Sacramento area and surrounding communities.
This is a part-time, community-based position that requires traveling to clients' homes and other approved service locations to provide direct behavioral intervention services. Under the supervision and direction of a qualified clinical supervisor or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT/Intern will implement individualized treatment and behavior-support plans designed to strengthen communication, social, adaptive, learning, and daily living skills.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one behavioral intervention and skill-development services to children in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
- Implement ABA-based strategies and interventions under the direction and supervision of a BCBA or other qualified clinical supervisor.
- Support children in developing communication, social, play, self-help, adaptive, and daily living skills.
- Implement behavior-support strategies designed to increase positive behaviors and reduce behaviors that interfere with learning, safety, or independence.
- Collect accurate data during client sessions and maintain timely documentation of services, progress, and observations.
- Follow established treatment protocols while communicating changes, concerns, and significant observations to the clinical supervisor.
- Build positive, professional, and supportive relationships with clients and their families.
- Participate in supervision, training, team meetings, and professional development activities as required.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, organizational policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal requirements.
- Travel reliably to client homes and other approved service locations throughout the greater Sacramento area and surrounding communities.
QualificationsRegistered Behavior Technician Candidates- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred/required for positions designated as RBT.
- Experience working with autistic children, children with developmental disabilities, or individuals receiving behavioral health services is preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with Applied Behavior Analysis principles and practices is strongly preferred.
- Ability to follow treatment protocols and clinical supervision requirements.
Intern Candidates- Currently enrolled in or recently completed coursework in psychology, behavioral science, child development, education, social work, counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children through employment, internships, volunteer work, childcare, education, recreation, or community programs is a plus.
- Interest in developing professional skills in ABA and behavioral health services.
- Willingness to participate in required training and ongoing clinical supervision.
General Requirements- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in clients' homes while following established clinical and organizational procedures.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Dependable, patient, compassionate, and comfortable working directly with children and families.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential client information.
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and clearances applicable to the position.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel between client locations throughout the greater Sacramento area and surrounding communities.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required for positions involving travel to client locations.
- Ability to maintain a consistent part-time schedule based on client needs.
