POSITION DESCRIPTION: Registered Behavior Technician
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt Classified Compensation Plan, 9-Month Work Calendar; 40/Week FT (District Medical Benefit Package for 40 hr. /wk. Position)
REPORTS TO: Principal and Assigned Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Registered Behavior Technician will provide intensive behavior support services to students in-district. The RBT will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement behavior support plans for students that require consistent and significant behavioral support during the school day. The Registered Behavior Technician will meet all of the requirements of RBT certification.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: (essential functions)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Required - High School diploma or GED. Required - PRAXIS or Work Keys test accepted, or Associate's degree, or, 60 college credits. Minimum of formal training in theories of Applied Behavioral Analysis, or Behavioral Support Interventions and successful completion of the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course and examination for certification. Must maintain annual RBT certification. Valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.
Preferred - A minimum of 2 years previous experience working with students who require behavior support.
