Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Consistently perform duties of Registered Behavior Technician I with increased independence, initiative and/or demonstrated ability:
- Document each client's performance on a daily basis via data collection method specified by assigned BCBA.
- Implement all aspect of client's treatment plan as developed by the BCBA.
- Assist in ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of work environments
- Assist client with toileting, dressing, grooming, and/or feeding as needed.
- Communicate session outcome with parents/caregivers while maintaining professional boundaries and within the scope of one's certification.
- Assist BCBA in developing training materials that are up-to-date with current technologies on a daily basis.
- Graph all data as assigned.
- Attend all weekly clinical meetings as an active participant in programmatic discussion.
- Ensure compliance with any and all regulations pertaining to BACB guidelines as well as Quest's policies and procedures.
- Independently perform reactive strategies confidently and effectively with individuals of all ages and problem behavior.
- Present with willingness to help out with additional tasks (BCBA projects and/or data collection) when needed.
- Present as a reliable model for incoming RBTs and/or those who may need additional shadowing.
- Attend all weekly clinical meetings as an active participant in programmatic discussion.
- Must respond promptly and effectively during elopement incidents.
- Must be physically capable of moving quickly in elopement situations or other emergency events.
- Follow all emergency procedures during a drill or in an actual emergency.
- Following a hurricane, all staff who are able to safely travel to and report to their assigned work location will be expected to assist with storm debris cleanup operations.
- Attend all required training and monthly staff meetings.
- Follow all Quest policies and procedures.
- Employees are required to report serious issues to the employee hotline or to a Quest leader under the See Something Say Something policy.
- Management reserves the right to revise the job or to request that other or different tasks be performed as assigned.
Work Experience/Related Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- At least 2 years' experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors.
- 1-year verifiable experience as RBT within field of ABA therapy.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
- Experience with crisis management (i.e. Safety Care, PCM, PCI, etc.).
- Experience in developing and implementing behavioral programs with developmentally disabled individuals is preferred.
