GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position investigates complaints of damage caused by big and trophy game or game birds. Work with landowners and Wildlife Division staff to develop and implement wildlife damage mitigation plans which may include, but are not limited to, the following activities: hazing of wildlife, delivery and installation of exclusionary fencing materials for the protection of stored hay/crops and bee hives, lethal removal of sick and injured wildlife or depredating animals, and capture or chemical immobilization and relocation of wildlife. Assist with all aspects of the Departments Access Yes Program. Provide field support for wildlife management activities. Attend training, represent the agency in public forums, and maintain equipment and Department facilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Preference may be given to those with a four-year degree in wildlife management, range management, natural resource management, or farm/ranch operations.
Preference may be given to those individuals with experience in firearm proficiency and lethal removal of wildlife.
Preference may be given to those with familiarization and experience in agricultural operations.
Other related training and experience will be evaluated.

Education:
Bachelors Degree (typically in Wildlife Management)
Experience:
0-3 years progressive work experience (typically in Wildlife Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Wildlife Biologist I
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Wildlife Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Wildlife Biologist I
