Position Details

Drivers DO NOT receive their truck on day 1. The driver will go out with a trainer, then get a truck at the END of their training.

Position Details:

• Detroit Regional picks up from and delivers to 13 rail ramps (6 major ramps) in the Chicagoland area
• They run the states of IL, MI, and IN, operating in a dense lane moving freight between the Detroit market area and Chicago rail yards every day
• All freight is on containers
• App 70% drop/hook and 30% live load/unload
• Loads are preplanned in advance and if ETA's are set correctly driver should be preplanned before arriving at first delivery
• Will operate mid roof conventional tractors that are on avg 1yr 10mons old
• Smaller customer base, consistent routes.
• Hazmat required within 90 days - account will reimburse
• During training, drivers will stay in the truck with the trainer unless they are of the opposite sex.

Highlights:

• Each truck has a toll pass that the driver can use as much or as little as they want, this routing option is up to them to save time
• Drivers will always be within a days drive of getting home if there is an emergency at home.

• $10,000 sign-on bonus!
• $0.64-$0.69 cpm
• Detention pay: $20-25 per hour
• Drop and hook pay: $35 per stop
• Live load/unload: $65 per stop
• Hazmat: $25 per load
• Reefer/Reefer Cross-town: $30 per load
• Empty move: $30 per load
• Crosstown moves: $25-60 per load
• Driver assist: $25 per load
• Empty move: $15 per load
• Truck Detailing: $50 flat rate
• Excessive Dunnage: $15 flat rate
• Mechanical breakdown: $20 per hour
• Rail delays: $20 per hour
• Live Lifts: $20 flat rate
• Layover pay: $20 per hour
• Refused delivery: $40
• Chassis Flips: $20 per hour
• Truck Recovery pay: $25
• Truck order not used: $20
• Yard Pay: $20 per hour
• Spotting Work: $5 per move
• Safety training & mandatory meetings pay: $22 per hour
• New hire training pay: $250 per day
• Holiday pay: $190 per day
• Drivers in this position over the last six to twelve months have averaged annualized earnings of $86,000
