Position Details

Other Pay:

• Holiday: Eligible after one consecutive year of service.

• $210/holiday for the 6 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day & 4th of July).

• Drivers are not required to work Holidays. Days surrounding holidays are first come first serve.

• PTO - Initially, you earn 1.5 hours/week

• 1+ years - 1.54 hours accrued/week = 10 PTO days/year

• 6+ years - 2.31 hours accrued/week = 15 PTO days/year

• 14+ years - 3.08 hours accrued/week = 20 PTO days/year

Position/Freight Details:

• Driver is required to obtain a hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire

• 1800 miles per week is minimum expectation

• Exceptional drivers can run as much as 2,800 miles per week with 48 hours off

• Approximately 75% drop/hook and 25% live load/unload

• 100% of freight is on Intermodal Chassis/Container

• 5% of freight is Reefer/TCI freight

Truck/Parking:

• Truck Type: Drivers will operate mid roof conventional tractors. Average age of the fleet is 2.5 years
• Tractors are Automatic Transmission Freightliners and Internationals
• Drivers living within 50 miles of the Chicago terminal will be required to park the truck at the account
• During training, drivers will stay in a hotel

Job Details:

• $0.67-$0.79 per mile*
• Detention pay: $20-$25 per hour after the first hour
• Drop and hook pay: $40 per stop
• Live load/unload: $70 per stop
• Live lifts pay: $20 if longer than 1 hour
• Layover pay: $20 per hour up to 5 hours
• Hazmat: $25 per load
• Refrigerated: $30 per load
• Crosstown moves: $25-$60 per load
• Reefer crosstown/empty moves: $30 per load
• Driver assist: $25 per load
• Empty move: $15 per load
• Truck detailing: $50 flat rate
• Mechanical breakdown: $20 per hour up to 5 hours
• Rail delays: $20 per hour after the first hour
• Refused delivery: $40 per load
• Truck order not used: $20
• Yard work: $20 per hour
• Chassis flips: $20 per hour
• Spotting work: $5 per move
• Excessive dunnage: $15 flat rate
• Recovery event: $25 per hour
• Midwest surcharge: $50 flat rate
• Weekend bonus: $150 per week
• Safety training and mandatory meeting pay: $22 per hour
• New hire training pay: $250 per day
• Holiday pay: $210 per day
