Regional Traveling Licensed Plumber

Department Information
· Department: Plant Operations / Facilities Management
· Reports To: Assistant Director of Plant Operations
· Travel Requirement: 75-100% Regional Travel
· License Required: Active State Plumbing License
Position Summary
· Responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing plumbing systems across multiple skilled nursing facilities. Serves as the regional plumbing expert supporting regulatory compliance, emergency response, capital projects, and preventative maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems and fixtures.
· Repair and replace water heaters, mixing valves, booster pumps, backflow preventers, faucets, sinks, toilets, and shower systems.
· Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
· Respond to emergency plumbing failures.
· Assist with Life Safety and healthcare regulatory compliance.
· Support water management and Legionella prevention programs.
· Provide technical guidance to facility maintenance teams.
· Coordinate with contractors and vendors on renovation and construction projects.
· Complete work orders, inspection reports, and project documentation.
Required Qualifications
· Active Plumber License.
· Minimum 2 years of commercial plumbing experience.
· Valid driver license and ability to travel extensively.
· Knowledge of copper, PEX, PVC, and cast-iron piping systems.
Preferred Qualifications
· Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience.
· Knowledge of CMS and Life Safety regulations.

· Strong troubleshooting skills.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Physical Requirements
· Lift up to 75 pounds.
· Work in mechanical rooms, crawl spaces, and on ladders.
· Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
