Role Description The Regional Technical Sales Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for driving revenue growth and building strong relationships in the U.S. Southeast Region (GA, TN, NC, SC, AL, FL). Day-to-day activities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, conducting technical product demonstrations, and presenting solutions that address customer needs. The role involves actively developing new accounts, managing a healthy base of existing accounts, preparing proposals and quotes, and coordinating closely with engineering and support teams to ensure accurate technical information and smooth implementation. The Regional Technical Sales Manager responds to customer inquiries, provides pre- and post-sales technical guidance, and maintains a detailed pipeline and accurate forecasting. The position also supports administration with order management, customer payments, quality processes, and receivables.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with experience presenting technical solutions at the engineering level and above.
- Proven Account Development capabilities, including relationship building, territory planning, and long-term customer retention.
- Hands-on Technical Support experience, with the ability to understand product specifications, troubleshoot issues, and work effectively with engineering teams.
- Customer Service skills that demonstrate responsiveness, clear communication, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Experience selling technology, hardware, or aerospace solutions.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines and sales targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with virtual presentations and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics, or equivalent experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Willingness to travel 50%+ within the assigned region as required.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical sales, technical management, or engineering application support role.
