Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled sales professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling products and services within the Western US region. This role requires significant travel and the ability to represent our company at trade shows.

Essential Job Functions

  • Sell products and services to customers and accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Travel 25-40% of the time, with occasional international travel.
  • Represent the company and affiliated entities at designated trade shows.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and passport.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities and customer requirements by visiting existing and potential customers.
  • Recommend products and services to meet customer needs and address service issues.
  • Develop relationships with equipment users and key decision-makers in various sectors.
  • Manage the sales cycle from initial inquiry to order placement, including technical and commercial discussions.
  • Develop and refine proposals/quotations in collaboration with technical staff.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in sales, preferably in capital equipment or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong technical aptitude.
  • Personable, self-motivated, assertive, and a team player.
  • Proficient in standard email, word processing, spreadsheet, contact management, and ERP/accounting software (MS Outlook, MS Office, Navision/Dynamics preferred).
  • Strong time management skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Critical Success Factors

  • Experience in Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) pharmaceutical equipment type sales.
  • Ability to develop and nurture customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial skills, including proposal review and negotiation of terms and conditions.
  • Technical prowess and ability to present technical offerings effectively.
