The Role

We're building a direct sales motion for CyberSense, and we're looking for a hunter to own the Southeast and Midwest. You'll work a set of target accounts agreed with your manager. Your job is to open doors at director level and above, build pipeline, get customers into technical evaluations, and close new logos. That includes companies that have never bought from Index Engines through any channel.

Our OEM and channel partners are a big asset, and you'll bring them into deals when it helps you win. But this role is about creating opportunities, not waiting for partners to hand them over. You'll also look after existing customers in your region, making sure renewals land and expansion opportunities get worked. As we add new products and OEM partners, you'll help launch them in your territory.

You must live in the Southeast (Virginia to Florida) or the Midwest to be considered.

What You'll Do

• Build and work a target-account plan for your region with your manager each quarter.
• Prospect outbound by phone, email, LinkedIn and events, and land discovery meetings with director-level and above contacts in IT, infrastructure and security.
• Run strong discovery and qualify opportunities: confirm budget and timeline, secure second meetings, and move deals forward.
• Drive customers to commit to a technical evaluation or POC, working with our sales engineering team.
• Close net-new accounts and contribute to the region's quarterly revenue goal.
• Manage existing customers in your region, securing renewals and finding opportunities to grow.
• Co-sell with OEM and regional channel partners, and train their sales teams on CyberSense so they bring you into more deals.
• Keep Salesforce accurate and current, including contacts, discovery notes, opportunity stages and forecast.
• Represent Index Engines at regional events and customer and partner meetings, in person and remote.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of success in inside or outside software or hardware sales, with a track record of meeting or beating quota.
• Experience prospecting and generating your own pipeline.
• Experience selling with channel or OEM partners.
• Background in storage, data protection or security is strongly preferred.
• Disciplined CRM habits. Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, organization and time management. You don't need anyone to tell you who to call next.
• Must be located in the Southeast or Midwest.

• A bachelor's degree.
• An existing network of IT, infrastructure or security contacts in the region.
• Experience with a structured sales methodology (MEDDICC or similar).
• Experience at a startup or high-growth company.
