Position Overview

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our growing team in the commercial work truck and van upfit industry. This role is ideal for a high-energy sales professional who thrives on developing new business, managing key accounts, and delivering customized fleet solutions to customers across multiple industries.

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for expanding market share, building long-term customer partnerships, and driving profitable growth within your assigned territory. You will work directly with municipalities, dealerships, fleet customers, contractors, colleges and universities, and government organizations to provide industry-leading work truck and van equipment solutions.

What You'll Do

Drive Business Growth

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan with measurable growth objectives
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within fleet, dealership, municipal, and government markets
  • Grow and maintain relationships with existing customers while expanding wallet share
  • Prospect and develop direct sales opportunities with small, medium, and large fleet accounts

Build Strong Customer Relationships

  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer operations and recommending tailored upfit solutions
  • Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
  • Assist customers with post-sale service and warranty support as needed

Manage Sales Activity & Pipeline

  • Prepare accurate customer quotes while maintaining profitability targets
  • Maintain and update customer activity, pipeline opportunities, and account information in Salesforce.com
  • Track sales performance and provide regular territory updates to leadership

Market & Industry Leadership

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, pricing strategies, and product offerings
  • Communicate competitive intelligence and market feedback to leadership
  • Recommend ideas and process improvements that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, safety, quality, and profitability

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of outside sales experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following industries:

  • Work truck

  • Commercial van equipment

  • Fleet services

  • Heavy equipment

  • Trailer, crane, or industrial equipment sales

  • Proven ability to develop new business and grow customer relationships

  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems such as Salesforce

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Systems, or related field preferred but not required
  • Experience in manufacturing or commercial vehicle environments
  • Familiarity with fleet operations, vocational vehicles, or commercial upfit solutions

Work Environment & Travel

  • Frequent customer visits within assigned territory
  • Travel required up to 75% primarily by vehicle, with occasional air travel
  • Work is performed in customer facilities, dealerships, offices, and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when needed
