We are seeking a high-performing, technically grounded Regional Sales Manager to drive regional sales growth for our client’s advanced radio remote control solutions. In this role, you will lead high-level strategic planning, drive new business development across key industrial market segments, and nurture strong, long-term customer relationships.The ideal candidate bridges technical engineering concepts with commercial strategy, working closely with prospective clients, distributor networks, and global product teams to deliver safe, highly reliable wireless control systems.


Primary Objective: Develop, execute, and manage strategic sales and marketing initiatives to increase revenue, market share, and gross profitability for safety radio remote control systems within assigned regional and industrial segments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales, Account Management & Channel Execution

  • Oversee the end-to-end customer lifecycle (pre- and post-sales) to maximize retention, satisfaction, and share-of-wallet.
  • Drive direct sales revenue through direct lobbying and relationship building with target OEM and end-user accounts.
  • Direct, evaluate, and optimize regional sales channels (manufacturers’ representatives and distributors) to ensure maximum market coverage.
  • Collaborate with application engineering and internal sales teams to deliver timely, accurate quotations.

2. Market & Strategic Planning

  • Execute North American market planning aligned with industry trends, technical product positioning, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with executive leadership to align regional sales and marketing tactics with global corporate goals.
  • Monitor competitor activity, industry pricing dynamics, and promotional strategies.
  • Develop and submit a comprehensive annual regional marketing plan (due October 1st of each year).

3. Product & Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with global Product Management teams to guide the development of new features, product enhancements, and tailored technical solutions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of control systems, wireless technology, and industry safety philosophies to act as a trusted technical advisor to clients.

4. Marketing, Brand Exposure & Enablement

  • Increase brand presence through targeted direct sales calls, trade show representation, industry seminars, and technical editorial media.
  • Create and deliver effective technical presentations, product training materials, and sales tools for internal staff, representatives, and distribution partners.

5. CRM & Sales Administration

  • Maintain rigorous CRM discipline using Microsoft Dynamics CRM—logging all meetings, leads, opportunity updates, and account details.
  • Manage quote pipelines, ensure timely follow-ups, and maintain transparent reporting on active sales opportunities.

Technical & Professional Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, logic control diagrams, and Industrial Ethernet/Fieldbus protocols.

    • Direct experience with industrial safety philosophies and relevant standards (ATEX, cUL, FCC, IECEx, NEC, EN, etc.).

  • CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel (25–50%) within the region for client meetings, distributor visits, and trade shows.

Preferred

  • Proven sales track record with radio remote control solutions or hydraulic control systems.
  • Background working with industrial automation, lifting equipment (overhead cranes/hoists), or mobile hydraulic machinery.
  • Proven experience managing indirect sales channels (distributors and rep firms).
