Our client is a former family owned company now owned by a global market leader in the chemical space. They are seeking a technically minded Regional Sales Manager to support an expanding commercial organization. This role is a combination of a backfill and strategic expansion, created as part of a broader restructuring of sales operations. The successful candidate will inherit an established territory and customer base while also driving growth through new business development opportunities across the Eastern United States. Job Description
- Manage and grow an established portfolio of existing customer accounts.
- Drive revenue growth through expansion opportunities within current accounts.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities with targeted customers and industry segments.
- Manage a substantial backlog of active projects and ensure opportunities progress through the sales cycle.
- Build long-term customer relationships and serve as a trusted technical sales resource.
- Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Utilize CRM tools and sales reporting processes to track opportunities and customer activity.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customers and develop new business.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
- 5-10 years of successful B2B technical sales experience.
- Experience selling into the adhesives, coatings, inks, specialty chemicals, packaging, or related markets strongly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in peripheral industries such as dispensing equipment, curing equipment, or similar technical products will also be considered.
- Proven ability to manage both account growth and new business development activities.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage engineers, technical teams, and decision-makers.
- Experience managing long and complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
What's on Offer
- Base salary target: $110,000-$125,000
- Total On-Target Earnings (OTE): $130,000-$180,000
