As a Regional Sales Director, you will lead a high-performing field based commercial sales team and support the growth of an emerging biotechnology organization committed to advancing innovative medicines. You will be responsible for developing and executing regional business strategies, driving sales performance, and fostering strong partnerships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders. Reporting to the National Business Director, you will utilize your experience and relationships in Hospitals/IDN to recruit, mentor, and develop a team focused on delivering exceptional customer engagement and commercial results for a rare disease product launch. In this role, you will be an integral part of a building a high performing Key Account Management team. You will:

  • Hire, develop, train, coach, assess, motivate and retain a highly performing team, strengthening individual capabilities and elevating overall performance to meet the evolving needs of customers and drive business results.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business plans that support the successful execution of a launch strategy Ensure the development and pull through of Strategic Account plans with each KAM.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with Key influencers to possibly include, C-Suite and administrative roles within an account (not limited to CEO, CFO, CMO, Pharmacy Director, Medical Director, Case Management, Dir. of Quality, Industry Relations, Technology Dir, etc.).
  • Develop and present in conjunction with the team sound clinical, pharmaco-economic and business presentations to appropriate customers based on mutual needs/benefits.
  • Review and analyze product performance at the regional & local level and communicate account performance broadly with key internal stakeholders.
  • Build a culture of accountability through effective performance coaching, talent development, and succession planning to create a high-performing sales organization.
  • Analyze market dynamics, referral patterns, account segmentation, and business trends to identify opportunities and optimize regional execution strategies.
  • Monitor leading performance indicators and demand-generation activities to proactively adjust regional strategies and maximize commercial results.
  • Ensure consistent execution of patient pull-through initiatives designed to support patient identification, access, treatment initiation, and ongoing therapy engagement.

Essential Requirements:

  • 10+ years of proven success in Life Sciences.
  • 4+ years of first-line sales leadership experience with 2+ years in navigating hospital systems, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs or large health systems.
  • Experience as a launch leader within rare disease, oncology, immunology, or specialty biopharmaceutical markets, with experience driving commercial readiness and execution in complex healthcare environments
  • Strong background in oncology and/or specialty therapeutics, with a demonstrated ability to engage diverse clinical stakeholders and influence treatment adoption.
  • Deep understanding of P&T Committee processes, formulary decision-making, and institutional market access dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a player-coach, balancing strategic leadership, field engagement, and team development.
  • Experience leading cross-functional launch readiness initiatives, partnering effectively with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Operations, and other key stakeholders. Proven success collaborating with payer and access teams to support prior authorization processes, coverage policies, reimbursement strategies, and buy-and-bill environments.
  • Expertise in account segmentation, referral network mapping, demand planning, and identification of leading business indicators to drive market development and execution.
  • Strong understanding of the patient journey and treatment pull-through process, including patient identification, access and reimbursement support, treatment initiation, scheduling, and ongoing therapy management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic business plans, drive execution, and deliver results in highly competitive and evolving specialty markets.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $220,000-$227,500. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position.  Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.  In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance
