At F.D. Thomas, Inc., we're seeking an experienced Regional Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to provide leadership, guidance, and oversight for our Bay Area operations. This role offers the opportunity to partner directly with operations leaders, mentor safety professionals, and help ensure every employee returns home safely each day.
Based in Vallejo, California, this position supports projects throughout the Bay Area, with occasional travel to other company operations across the western United States.

About the Job
The Regional EHS Manager serves as the primary safety and environmental leader for assigned operations throughout Northern California. This role is responsible for implementing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing incident investigations, conducting field audits, and driving continuous improvement across multiple projects.
The successful candidate will be a visible field leader who builds strong relationships with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies while promoting a world-class safety culture.

You are a trusted advisor to operations leadership, a visible presence in the field, and a champion of employee health and safety. You can comfortably interact with craft professionals, project managers, clients, and executive leadership while balancing compliance with operational effectiveness.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
OSHA 500 Certification
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA construction regulations
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or comparable BCSP certification
Strong knowledge of:
Fall Protection
Respiratory Protection
Confined Space Entry
Hazard Communication
Lead Abatement
Industrial Hygiene Principles
Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in construction, industrial services, coatings, or related industries
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually
Compensation is based on experience, certifications, and overall qualifications.
