About the JobThe Regional EHS Manager serves as the primary safety and environmental leader for assigned operations throughout Northern California. This role is responsible for implementing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing incident investigations, conducting field audits, and driving continuous improvement across multiple projects.The successful candidate will be a visible field leader who builds strong relationships with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies while promoting a world-class safety culture.Key Responsibilities:Provide Regional EHS LeadershipLead implementation of corporate EHS programs across assigned projects.Support project teams during pre-planning and startup activities.Ensure site-specific safety plans, JSAs, and compliance documents are completed and maintained.Partner with project leadership to identify risks and implement effective controls.Mentor and support site safety professionals and operational leaders.Drive Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, environmental regulations, and client requirements.Monitor changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Conduct field evaluations and safety observations.Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.Support company-wide safety initiatives and performance goals.Lead Incident ManagementManage accident, injury, and near-miss investigations.Determine root causes and implement corrective actions.Support workers' compensation and return-to-work processes.Coordinate reporting and regulatory documentation as required.Conduct Audits & Field OversightPerform regular field inspections and project audits.Evaluate site safety culture and regulatory compliance.Review training records, certifications, and project documentation.Utilize EHS software systems and reporting tools to track performance metrics.Support Industrial Hygiene ProgramsCoordinate industrial hygiene monitoring activities.Partner with Certified Industrial Hygienists on sampling and evaluations.Assist with exposure assessments involving noise, airborne contaminants, heat stress, and other occupational health concerns.Maintain and support monitoring equipment and programs.Deliver TrainingConduct safety orientations and onboarding activities.Facilitate competent person and leadership safety training.Coach project leaders on regulatory compliance and best practices.Promote ongoing employee engagement through meetings, communications, and educational programs.Partner with LeadershipParticipate in regional operations meetings.Provide regular EHS updates and performance reporting.Assist with subcontractor prequalification and safety reviews.Support strategic initiatives that strengthen company safety performance.What Success Looks LikeYou are a trusted advisor to operations leadership, a visible presence in the field, and a champion of employee health and safety. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:OSHA 500 CertificationComprehensive knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA construction regulationsCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or comparable BCSP certificationStrong knowledge of:Fall ProtectionRespiratory ProtectionConfined Space EntryHazard CommunicationLead AbatementIndustrial Hygiene PrinciplesMinimum 5 years of safety management experience in construction, industrial services, coatings, or related industriesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and project management abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health, or a related field Five (5) years' experience in a similar positionExperience supporting heavy industrial, coating, or specialty contracting operationsBilingual in English/Spanish Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annuallyCompensation is based on experience, certifications, and overall qualifications.In addition, F.D.
