Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Regional Safety Coordinator. In this role you will be responsible for performing construction safety services in a professional manner resulting in no injuries, successful project completions, and a safe working environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Developing and execute health and safety plans according to corporate and legal guidelines
Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to corporate policy and the law
Ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws.
Excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. Identify opportunities to improving conditions and execute various safety programs. Effectively communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential,
Ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.
Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
Monitor compliance with policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
Prepare job specific safety procedures
Inspect job safety
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors in safety management or relevant field is preferred
5 years of construction safety experience or 10 years of construction work experience
Can communicate clearly and effectively, in both written and oral work
All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States
Proven experience as safety manager
Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
Excellent organizational and motivational skills
Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Valid qualifications / Certifications in occupational health and safety
Ability to travel
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
