Job Duties:

  • The Regional QA Manger is responsible for the managing of the regional QA framework of the South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS). The Regional QA manager will ensure the established standards placed on the agency by governing bodies and other mandates are consistently applied and accounted for in all regional QA initiatives. Assures that agency-wide quality assurance initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness within DSS as part of overall Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
  • Serves as a supervisor and Leader within the Agency Office of QA and CQI. Manages and oversees the implementation of agency wide QA initiatives in an assigned region with the support of and in collaboration with the Agency Office of QA and CQI staff and other QA partners. Ensures quality assurance initiatives are focused on child welfare services and are based on the Child and Family Services Reviews (CFSR) and other applicable federal and state mandates as the quality standard.
  • Monitors regional QA activities related to the CFSR Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
  • Communicates quality standards and provides technical assistance in an assigned region in the use of data to identify issues, brainstorm solutions, set goals, identify action steps, and to track/adjust goals. Solidifies feedback loops and other structures to ensure all stakeholder input is gathered, analyzed, and made actionable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A Bachelors Degree and five (5) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services, or public administration.

A Masters Degree and three (3) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services, or public administration.
