Job Responsibilities
Assists with the implementation, management, oversight, monitoring, documentation, and training of the PREA standards.
Assists the institutional PREA compliance managers (PCMS) with ensuring proper documentation is filed and prepared for facility audits.
Work closely with assigned rape crisis centers to ensure services are provided to incarcerated survivors.
Work with assigned institutions and contracted PREA auditors in pursuance to full compliance with the PREA standards.
Ensure institutions comply with requirements that (1) volunteers, contractors, medical, and mental health practitioners receive mandated training as required for both new and existing staff.
Ensure institutions comply with requirements that initial inmate assessments and 30-day inmate reassessments occur consistently; and medical and mental health services are offered to identified inmates within 14 days of notification.
Travel throughout assigned SCDC institutions ensuring PREA standards, practices, and procedures are being followed and understood.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelors degree and relevant program management experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A bachelors degree and one (1) year of relevant program experience.
Additional relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on year-for-year basis.
Relevant experience includes experience with PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) compliance, audits, or standards; or experience interpreting and applying federal or state regulations, standards, or policy requirements; or experience in quality assurance, program evaluation or compliance oversight; or experience conducting investigations, reviews, or monitoring activities in a correctional or public safety environment.
