Summary:

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a large team of exempt individual contributors and managers across a specified region. This role involves strategic direction, operational guidance, and people management to ensure the effective functioning of 7-12 primary care facilities. The manager will be accountable for the region's growth, financial performance, and operational efficiency. This role required flexibility to travel within the region as needed.

Responsibilities:

1.Provide strategic direction and operational guidance to primary care facilities within the region.

2.Develop and implement standardized operational processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.

3.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

4.Recruit, train, and mentor managers to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.

5.Execute required people management responsibilities, including hiring, firing, performance evaluation, rewards, and other decisions.

6.Collaborate with finance and administration teams to develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial performance targets.

7.Monitor revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, and collections, to optimize revenue generation and financial sustainability.

8.Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies to maximize resource utilization and minimize expenses.

9.Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including healthcare providers, administrators, and support staff.

10.Manage the OKR/Goal setting for those in the Management Incentive Plan in a manner that encourages both individual and team results.

Education and Experience

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, minimum eight years of experience in healthcare leadership is required. Master's degree preferred.

  2. Licensure: N/A

  3. Certification: Certificate in Executive Healthcare Leadership required within 2 years of role.

Certification in a specialty area such as Six Sigma, Change Mgmt., etc. required within 2 years of role.

  1. Years of relevant experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in managing multiple healthcare facilities, sites, or programs required.

  2. Years of supervisory experience: Minimum of 4+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations and people management, (preferably within an ambulatory practice management setting), required.
