Regional Multi-Branch Operations Director

Compensation: $75,000–$90,000 annually, plus quarterly performance bonus and potential year-end bonus
A day in this role
It’s Monday at our Eagan headquarters. You kick off the week with Branch Managers from Northern Minnesota, aligning on customer commitments and safety priorities. By midweek, you’re riding along with delivery teams to evaluate routing efficiency and service standards. Friday finds you reviewing fleet maintenance plans, coaching a new manager, and finalizing operational reports for senior leadership. Throughout, you’re the bridge between strategy and execution—raising the bar for consistency, compliance, and customer experience across multiple branches.

What you’ll own
- Lead and mentor Branch Managers across Northern Minnesota, ensuring common standards and shared best practices.
- Direct day-to-day regional operations to drive reliable service delivery and operational uniformity across sites.
- Optimize driver and delivery operations—routing, delivery cadence, fleet readiness, and turnaround times.
- Develop leaders and frontline teams through coaching that enhances service, safety, and productivity.
- Support staffing actions: hiring, performance coaching, corrective actions, and separations when required.
- Analyze operational data and delivery trends to uncover efficiency gains and service improvements.
- Produce clear operational reports and insights for branch and senior operations leadership.
- Partner on fleet strategy: maintenance schedules, unit needs, and vehicle replacement planning.
- Pitch in with equipment deliveries and branch workload surges to keep commitments on track.
- Sustain regulatory and service compliance across locations, including applicable DOT and industry requirements.
- Provide oversight for after-hours/on-call needs to maintain service continuity.
- Travel between assigned branches roughly 50% of the time.
What you’ll bring
- Supervisory or management background; multi-site leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with drivers, delivery teams, transportation, fleet, logistics, distribution, field service, or comparable operations.
- Proven ability to coach leaders and frontline employees to higher performance.
- Data-driven approach with strong operational judgment and continuous improvement mindset.
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and customer relationship skills.
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Familiarity with CDL environments or DOT-regulated operations is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel ~50% within the region.
