What We're Looking For:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in noninvasive cardiology, including cardiovascular ultrasound, TEE, and stress testing (Echo, Nuclear, and General).
  • Minimum of 2 years of interventional critical care experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in a related clinical setting.

Certifications:

  • Current certification in one of the following required: Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB), RT, Sonographer (ARDMS), CCI, or CCDS; or a current RN license in the applicable state with CVN or CCRN certification.
  • Current BLS certification required.

 

Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
  • Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing.
  • Thorough knowledge of principles in procedural areas.
  • Ability to manage departmental operations and provide support.
  • Understands and applies: current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; skills in interviewing and selection process; understanding budgeting, staffing, payroll and purchasing processes; implementation of competency, feedback, development and progressive discipline processes; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations; principles of change management.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead regional noninvasive cardiology operations for New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Brunswick Medical Center and Scott's Hill Medical Center, ensuring exceptional patient care, quality outcomes, and operational excellence across multiple practice locations.
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop leaders and teammates while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with physicians and executive leadership to drive strategic growth, improve access to care, and enhance the patient experience.
  • Oversee staffing, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives to achieve organizational goals and performance metrics.
  • Champion process improvement and innovation by leveraging data, best practices, and technology to optimize clinical and operational performance.
  • Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams to support Novant Health's mission of delivering remarkable care to every patient, every time.
