The Regional Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading plant maintenance and reliability initiatives across the Mid-Atlantic Aggregates business. This position supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of multiple sand and aggregate production facilities by developing and executing maintenance strategies that maximize equipment uptime, improve asset reliability, and support operational performance.

The Regional Maintenance Supervisor serves as a technical and operational leader, working closely with plant management to standardize maintenance practices, optimize equipment performance, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This regional role requires regular travel between operating locations in Virginia and North Carolina using a company-provided vehicle and will play a critical role in supporting the continued growth of the aggregates business.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate all maintenance activities across multiple aggregate production facilities to maximize equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and plant availability.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Plan, prioritize, schedule, and oversee maintenance work while coordinating closely with plant operations to support production goals and planned outages.
  • Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting equipment failures, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing long-term corrective actions to improve reliability.
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable OSHA/MSHA regulations.
  • Establish and standardize maintenance procedures, best practices, and performance expectations across all operating locations to drive consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Manage maintenance planning systems, work orders, equipment records, and key performance indicators to monitor asset health, maintenance effectiveness, and overall plant performance.
  • Assist with maintenance budgeting, capital planning, equipment replacement strategies, and lifecycle management of plant assets.
  • Manage spare parts inventories, maintenance vendors, and contractor relationships to ensure timely availability of critical resources and cost-effective maintenance services.
  • Support the commissioning of new facilities and equipment as the Mid-Atlantic Aggregates business continues to expand.
  • Travel regularly between company operations throughout Virginia and North Carolina, providing hands-on leadership, technical support, and maintenance oversight at each location.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement while building strong working relationships with plant managers, operations personnel, and corporate leadership.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in aggregates, mining, quarrying, heavy industrial manufacturing, construction materials, or a similar industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating maintenance activities across multiple facilities or complex operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of crushing, screening, conveying, washing, pumping, and heavy mobile equipment.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs, maintenance planning, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
