Job Details:GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Fleet Safety Manager is responsible for safety training, safety audits, safety analysis, and safety recognition for Dollar General Fleet. Fleet Safety Manager must be knowledgeable in DOT, FMCSA, and CSA rules and regulations to ensure Dollar General remains compliant, and meets all federal, state, and local requirements. The Fleet Safety Manager oversees fleet safety technology programs and leads a team of safety professionals while partnering with Operations, Compliance, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Risk Management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Develops and monitors safety technology reporting, including event trends, coaching completion, supervisor compliance, driver behavior patterns, and site-level performance. · Develops training, communications, reference materials, and follow-up processes to ensure Safety Supervisors, Operations, HR, and other field users apply fleet safety systems consistently. | 50% |

Operational Safety Oversight: Provides cross-functional coordination and support to ensure consistent safety coverage, effective accident management, regulatory compliance, and adherence to fleet safety processes across Fleet · Assists Senior Training Manager with enhanced staffing needs as identified to close any potential gaps in safety support for fleet network. · Supports motor vehicle accident documentation and review by partnering with Safety, Operations, Compliance, HR, Maintenance, and Risk Management to ensure complete documentation, consistent follow-up, and standard process adherence.
