Role Summary
The Regional Field Services Lead owns the delivery of CloudFactory's field services across the United States. You will oversee a distributed team of field technicians who work in active construction sites - capturing data with 360° cameras, producing the visual data and installing beacons powering our client's operations.
This is a service delivery role at its core. You will make sure every scheduled capture and installation happens on time, meets quality standards and lands within agreed SLAs, while keeping costs, staffing and site relationships healthy. You will be the operational face of CloudFactory to our partner in the region and the first point of escalation for anything that puts delivery at risk.
Based in Austin, Texas, you will spend significant time in the field: launching new projects as they come online, visiting existing sites, and making sure every technician, wherever they work, feels like a connected part of CloudFactory. As our services grow, you will also help us take on new types of field work.
CloudFactory is a distributed team, and this role is a core part of it in the US. You will represent CloudFactory and its values to your team, on every site and with our partner. We're looking for someone who shows up proactively, brings a zero-defect mindset, and delivers on every commitment we make to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Field Operations
- Plan and run day-to-day capture and installation operations across all US sites, delivering 100% of contracted captures, with every scheduled capture staffed, equipped and completed.
- Own and maintain the capture and installation schedule for every site, working closely with local project leads so no capture is missed.
- Lead the launch of new projects: confirm site readiness, access, safety inductions and equipment before the first capture day.
- Travel to existing and new sites to observe captures, solve on-site issues and build relationships with site managers and general contractors.
- Own field safety for the team: make sure every technician completes site inductions, wears the right PPE and follows US construction safety requirements (including OSHA standards) and each site's rules, with zero safety incidents.
- Manage capture equipment (360° cameras, mounts, PPE and accessories), including inventory, shipping, maintenance and replacements.
- Step in to capture on site when coverage gaps arise, and keep backup coverage in place for every active project.
- Support the rollout of new field services as they are introduced, such as beacon installation, including training the team and adapting workflows.
Team Leadership
- Recruit data capture technicians in collaboration with our talent acquisition team, then onboard and train them, filling roles quickly with people who are the right fit and will stay.
- Lead and coach a distributed team across multiple sites and states, including any site-level leads.
- Manage and approve team time, making sure hours are accurate, productive and cost-efficient, and in line with labor and compliance requirements.
- Build a connected team culture through regular check-ins, site visits and clear communication, so remote technicians feel part of CloudFactory.
- Track and improve retention and reliability, addressing performance and attendance issues early and fairly.
- Develop the team's skills and identify people with potential to grow into lead roles.
Quality & SLA Management
- Own delivery against partner SLAs for capture completion, timeliness and data quality.
- Work with local site leads to make sure capture quality and site coverage meet client requirements; monitor quality reviews, find root causes and put corrective actions in place.
- Classify site health (green/red), lead recovery plans for at-risk sites and escalate early when delivery is threatened.
- Set and maintain standard operating procedures for capture, upload, safety and site conduct.
- Report on operational performance, including SLA attainment, missed captures, staffing levels and quality trends.
Partner & Service Delivery
- Act as the main regional operational contact for our client, joining regular operational reviews and representing CloudFactory's delivery.
- Plan ahead for upcoming projects, typically 30 to 60 days out, gathering site information and lining up staffing and equipment.
- Manage regional delivery costs, including labor, travel and equipment, and flag commercial or scope questions to leadership.
- Find ways to improve efficiency, reliability and scalability as the program grows into new states.
