University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, MP Staff, Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $6,500-$8,166.67 per month.
Location: CSUSB Campus. Position does require travel and work in various locations, campuses, schools and districts throughout the RIMS Region and California.
Work Schedule
Exempt. 40+ hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, Monday through Friday, including many Saturdays, some Sundays, and evenings.

Typical Activities
The Regional Director reports to the Executive Director of The California Arts Project and the RIMS CAP Faculty Advisor, and is required to:

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Four-year degree in one or more of the arts disciplines (Dance, Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts).
Master's degree or postgraduate degree (PhD or EdD) in education or one of the arts disciplines (MFA or PhD)
California Teaching Credential and five years teaching experience TK - 12 or five years postsecondary teaching experience
Experience:
Working within the TCAP network as a Teacher Leader.
Academic preparation and teaching experience in one or more of the arts disciplines (Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts).
Administrative or leadership experience with the skills necessary to work with university faculty, teachers, school and district administrators, and TCAP colleagues.
In developing, leading, and evaluating professional learning in the arts for TK- 12 or university educators in person and virtually.
In leading professional learning programs or coursework to increase content knowledge and pedagogical ability of teachers in the arts.
In fiscal oversight and managing budgets.
In supervising staff.
In ability to work in a collaborative team setting regionally and statewide in program advertising or marketing, including the use of social media tools, and particularly in the education community.
With Microsoft Office and MAC OS Required.
Other:
Knowledge of the California Subject Matter Project, The California Arts Project.
Knowledge of the RIMS CAP service region and its school districts/schools.
Knowledge of the professional learning needs of TK-12 teachers and administrators, specifically arts educators.
In-depth understanding of discipline-specific student arts literacy development and English Language Development.
Knowledge of the CA Education Code, specifically relating to arts education.
Knowledge of California credentials to teach arts education in the school setting.
Knowledge of assessment of student learning in the arts.
Knowledge of the four California arts education organizations.
Abilities to lead and pivot in ambiguous situations while staying on mission.
Proven leadership ability.
Strong collaboration skills including skill and conflict resolution.
Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills involving teamwork and problem-solving
Leadership and interpersonal skills in working with adult learners, leaders, colleagues, office personnel, and K-12 administrators.
Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills especially with Apple computers.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft office, working with Excel, online databases, design software, social media.
Preferred Qualifications
CA Administrative Credential.
Experience with leading strategic planning.
Knowledge of California Career, Technical Education: Arts, Media and Entertainment.
Special Requirements
California Teaching Credential.
Knowledge of California's educational context, specifically RIMS CAP's region and arts education.
Knowledge of the variety of California schools and districts and educators professional learning needs
Knowledge and understanding of relevant and current Standards and Frameworks, including the California Arts Standards, California Arts Education Framework, Common Core Standards In the Technical Subjects, Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards, Career Technical Education Framework, and California's English language Development Standards.
Knowledge of California's Arts and Music in Our Schools Act.
Knowledge of University of California's and California State Universities "F" requirement.
