Lexima Lodging is seeking an experienced, results-driven Regional Director of Operations (RDO) to provide strategic and operational leadership for a portfolio of hotels throughout the Midwest.

This is a senior-level operational leadership position responsible for driving financial performance, guest satisfaction, employee engagement, brand compliance, operational excellence, and leadership development across a geographically diverse portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a proven history of leading multiple hotels and General Managers, improving KPI results, and holding property leadership accountable for performance. This individual must be a proactive operator who identifies issues early, develops practical solutions, and follows through to ensure results.

The ideal candidate will reside in Wichita, with consideration for candidates based in the Dallas, TX area.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Property Operational Leadership

·         Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for multiple hotel properties

·         Conduct regular property visits and operational reviews to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and establish accountability.

·         Partner with General Managers to develop and execute property-specific action plans and performance improvement strategies.

·         Proactively identify operational, staffing, financial, guest service, and leadership issues and take timely action to resolve them.

·         Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, and operational best practices across the portfolio.

 

Financial Performance

·         Drive revenue growth, profitability, cost control, and overall financial performance across the portfolio.

·         Collaborate with Sales and Revenue Management counterparts on sales, marketing and distribution strategies.

·         Review and analyze P&Ls, budgets, forecasts, labor costs, departmental expenses, and key performance indicators.

·         Partner with General Managers to establish financial goals and hold leadership accountable for achieving budget and performance objectives.

·         Identify financial trends, opportunities and risks, and implement corrective action when necessary.

·         Drive accountability for labor management, productivity, and controllable expenses.

 

Guest Experience & Operational Excellence

·         Drive consistent improvement in guest satisfaction, service delivery, quality assurance, and online reputation.

·         Monitor brand performance metrics, quality assurance scores, and operational trends.

·         Identify recurring guest and operational issues and develop strategies to address root causes.

·         Lead initiatives designed to improve guest loyalty.

 

Leadership & Talent Development

·         Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop General Managers.

·         Develop high-performing leadership teams capable of independently managing property operations.

·         Identify talent gaps and support succession planning and leadership development across the region.

·        Provide coaching and performance feedback to strengthen leadership effectiveness while fostering a culture of accountability, employee engagement, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Brand Standards & Compliance

·         Ensure consistent compliance with brand standards, franchise requirements, company policies, and operational procedures.

·         Support properties during brand inspections, quality assurance reviews, and operational audits.

·         Ensure properties maintain appropriate standards related to safety, security, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

 

Communication & Collaboration

·         Maintain clear, concise, professional, and consistent communication with General Managers, corporate leadership, ownership, brand representatives, and property associates.

·         Partner with corporate departments including Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations to achieve company objectives.

·         Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding property performance, opportunities, risks, and required support.

 

Required Qualifications

·         Previous operational leadership experience with major hotel brands.

·         Proven experience as a Regional Director of Operations, Area Director, Area Manager, or comparable multi-property hotel leadership role.

·         Experience overseeing a portfolio that includes both select-service and full-service hotels.

·         Highly organized with the ability to oversee multiple hotel locations and geographically dispersed teams.

·         Proven track record of improving financial performance, guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational results.

·         Strong understanding of hotel financial management, including P&L analysis, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control.

·         Demonstrated understanding and experience maintaining brand standards and franchise compliance across multiple hotel brands.

·         Strong leadership, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally.

·         Demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues, determine root causes, develop solutions, and follow through to resolution.

·         Experience operating across multiple markets and/or ownership groups.

·         Food & Beverage experience is preferred.
