Job Title:Ā Regional Director of Operations
Assignment DurationĀ (14 Weeks)
Location: Elmhurst, IL, 60126
Schedule:
40 hours per week

Position Overview:
The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing multi-site operations across the region, including Sterile Processing, Transportation, and Facilities. This leadership role focuses on driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, team development, and continuous improvement while aligning regional performance with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Leadership & Strategy:
Provide strategic oversight for all operational functions across the region
Lead and develop site-level Directors, Managers, and Coordinators
Establish performance goals, operating standards, and regional priorities
Align operations with company strategy and growth initiatives
Drive integration across departments to ensure efficient execution
Operations & Compliance Oversight:
Ensure compliance with AAMI, CDC, CMS, DOT, OSHA, and accreditation standards
Oversee audit readiness and regulatory inspections across all sites
Standardize workflows, documentation, and operational processes
Monitor performance metrics and proactively mitigate risks
Leadership Development & Talent Management:
Mentor and coach leadership teams across multiple functions
Build succession plans and leadership pipelines in partnership with HR
Drive accountability and performance management frameworks
Support hiring and onboarding of key leadership roles
Quality, Throughput & Continuous Improvement:
Own regional KPIs including quality, turnaround time, and service delivery
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Identify and scale best practices across sites
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and outcomes
Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration:
Collaborate with clinical partners and health systems
Align operations with service-level agreements and customer expectations
Partner with internal teams across Operations, Logistics, and Facilities
Represent the region in executive-level planning and growth discussions
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and compliance frameworks
Ability to develop leaders and drive performance through teams
Experience in high-growth or complex operational environments
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Education & Qualifications:
10+ years of operational experience
Minimum 5+ years in multi-site leadership roles
Experience across Sterile Processing, Logistics, Facilities, or related functions
CRCST certification or equivalent strongly preferred
