The Regional Director of Nursing (DON) (Medical) provides clinical, educational, and professional supervision for site DONs and support staff. The Regional DON works under the direction of the Program Manager/Vice President of Operations (VPO) and collaborates with medical leadership and other members of a multi-disciplinary team in the correctional environment to improve the healthcare of incarcerated patients.
Bachelors degree required • Masters degree preferred • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of employment required • Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred • Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Corrections, forensic or criminal justice experience preferred • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
