Description

Function as the Regional Coordinator (RC) for the Education & Employment Initiative(E2I)/Operation Warfighter (OWF) to facilitate the regular placement of Recovering Service members (RSMs) into internships with participating federal agencies and provide RSMs educational options and employment opportunities at the location and in areas of interest.
  • Adhere to program management protocols received from leadership and government client.
  • Maintains and supports program operations and strategic partnerships at the regional and local levels.
  • Identifies internship, education and employment opportunities, including increased access to career placement assistance, academic or vocational education.
  • Identifies career opportunities with employing organizations to determine qualifications and requirements.
  • Conducts outreach to regional and local Veterans Affairs, Federal Government, the private sector and educational institutions, ensuring a foundation for seamless RSM transition, developing and sustaining partnerships demonstrating community engagement.
  • Supports Military Services in the Region in their efforts to assist their RSMs with their education and career goals; ensures RSM has an advocate and mentor through the employment process.
  • Works with RSMs to identify needs, support requirements, career interests, and education/training requirements.
  • Collaborates with the employing institution to facilitate communications and candidate screening for RSMs.
  • Develops individualized development plans for RSMs and identifies training and certification opportunities to fill gaps in skills.
  • Captures and submits performance standards and metrics, to include reporting templates and processes; respond to contract performance work statement requirements and use web-based database to accurately and timely record and track RSM and partner agency interactions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Other Job Requirements

Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree from accredited institution.

Combination of education and work experience may be considered.

5+ years of Military experience as a Senior NCO or Company Grade Officer or above with technical assignments that are related to counseling, case management, claims, benefits processing, supervision/management, or spouse of the preceding.

Excellent presentation skills. Active listening and coaching skills.

Ability to communicate ideas and processes thoroughly and clearly to people at various levels of education and computer competency.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to work independently.

Salary Minimum:
$64,285
Salary Maximum:
$102,855

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
