Position Summary - Salary Range $80,000 - $85,000 Annually

The Regional Business Transient Sales Manager is responsible for generating business transient revenue across a portfolio of five hotels located in Los Gatos, Paso Robles, and Pismo Beach. Based out of Toll House Hotel, this on-site position is responsible for proactively soliciting new corporate business, managing existing accounts, increasing market share, and maximizing room revenue through strategic account development and relationship management. This individual will work closely with the Toll House Director of Sales and Area Director of Sales, Central Coast, to drive results across the portfolio.

Essential Functions

Business Development

  • Prospect and secure new business transient accounts across targeted industries and key feeder markets.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase room revenue and market share.
  • Conduct outside sales calls, client appointments, and site tours to generate new business opportunities.
  • Utilize prospecting tools and industry resources to identify and pursue new accounts.
  • Represent the portfolio at networking events, industry functions, and community organizations.

Account Management

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing corporate accounts.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for increased share and production.
  • Negotiate and execute annual corporate rate agreements and preferred partnerships.
  • Maintain strong relationships with travel managers, executive assistants, and key decision makers.
  • Ensure account information and activities are accurately maintained within applicable sales systems.

Portfolio Selling

  • Promote and cross-sell all five hotels based on client needs and travel patterns.
  • Collaborate with Directors of Sales and General Managers to maximize opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to convert transient accounts into group, meeting, and catering business.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to ensure competitive pricing and account strategies.
  • Share market intelligence and best practices with hotel sales teams.

Client Engagement

  • Conduct site tours and host clients for familiarization visits.
  • Participate in trade shows, sales missions, and industry events.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the marketplace to strengthen relationships and increase awareness of the portfolio.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless experience for clients.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate account information, activities, and opportunities within Delphi/FDC, CI/TY, Event Temple, and other applicable sales systems.
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans for top-producing and target accounts.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and portfolio calls.
  • Provide timely updates and communicate account activity, opportunities, and market trends to the Toll House Director of Sales and Area Director of Sales, Central Coast.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive activity and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of hotel sales experience, with business transient sales experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to prospect and develop new accounts and grow existing relationships.
  • Experience negotiating corporate rates and managing preferred partnerships.
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Delphi/FDC, CI/TY, Event Temple, and other hotel sales and CRM systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the territory, including Los Gatos, Paso Robles, and Pismo Beach.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
