Overview:

The Account Lead serves as the primary client advisor and relationship lead for a managed membership book of business. This role is responsible for advancing member engagement, retention, and sales strategies across Trust, Alliance, Kairos, and Securis. The position requires strong relationship management, strategic planning, market awareness, and cross-functional collaboration to support growth and long-term client success. 

 

This individual will represent the organization externally, develop multi-year client strategies, oversee marketing and business development initiatives, and partner closely with Operations and the Member Services team to ensure seamless prospect and member implementation. 

How you'll make an impact:
  • Manage a membership book of business and serve as the primary client advisor and relationship lead. 
  • Lead strategic member engagement, retention, and sales efforts across Trust, Alliance, Kairos, and Securis. 
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, county meetings, and other external engagements. 
  • Conduct frequent in-person visits with assigned member districts, including stewardship meetings and related client touchpoints. 
  • Develop multi-year client strategies, including budget and funding planning. 
  • Partner with Operations on prospects to ensure alignment and coordination across teams. 
  • Execute growth initiatives to support organizational expansion and retention goals. 
  • Manage the sales pipeline and CRM, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-up. 
  • Oversee strategic marketing efforts, including development of the annual go-to-market strategy. 
  • Manage sales, business development, and association budgets. 
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making. 
  • Manage association memberships and related external relationships. 
  • Present the organization’s value proposition to prospective clients and partners. 
  • Analyze prospect quotes to ensure alignment with risk and contribution objectives. 
  • Collaborate with the MS team to support prospect implementation and onboarding. 
About you:

Required 

  • Experience in client relationship management, business development, sales, or member engagement. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a book of business and build long-term client relationships. 
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience developing strategic plans, budgets, or growth initiatives. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and manage multiple priorities. 

 

Preferred 

  • Experience in education, public sector, association, or district-based environments. 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management. 
  • Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and go-to-market planning.
