    Position Overview

    The Region Route Relief Representative plays a critical role in maintaining seamless operations and customer satisfaction across multiple locations by providing dependable relief coverage for delivery and sales routes. This dynamic position involves executing deliveries, supporting product merchandising, maintaining brewing equipment, and cultivating strong customer relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    Collaborates with Sales Managers to proactively plan route relief schedules.Provides route coverage by delivering products, equipment, and supplies to existing customers.Trains new team members in the Grocery and Coffee Service Divisions, including merchandisers, delivery drivers, and route sales representatives.Promotes product growth by soliciting additional purchases from current customers.Collects payments from customers and ensures proper documentation.Maintains appropriate product selection and inventory levels for each account.Records and updates all sales, inventory, and delivery data accurately.Loads and manages inventory on company delivery vehicle.Monitors product freshness and ensures proper rotation on customer shelves.Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through service excellence.Maintains and services coffee brewing equipment during route stops.Participates in tradeshows and special events to promote company products and services.Manages daily bank deposits for assigned routes.Cleans delivery vehicle and conducts routine maintenance checks.May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.

    Position Requirements

    High school diploma or equivalent required.1 year of relevant customer service and/or sales experience.Route sales and cold calling experience in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment preferred.Must be at least 21 years of age.Valid driver's license required; a CDL may be required for some work locations.Acceptable driving record.DOT medical certification required.Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.

    Regularly required to get in and out of a vehicle.

    Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

    Occasionally push or pull up to 100 pounds using a rolling pallet or similar equipment, often up or down a slight incline or ramp.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
