Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the critical refrigeration and freezing systems that power their food production facility. In this role, you won’t just be "fixing things"—you will be the guardian of the plant’s physical environment, ensuring the continuous effective freezing and storage of high-quality food products.

System Oversight: Operate, maintain, and repair all plant ammonia and nitrogen refrigeration systems, including screw compressors, blast freezers, and chilled water systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Analyze equipment data and logs to execute a proactive PM plan, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues using a variety of hand tools, specialty equipment, and technical blueprints.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a pristine work environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and OSHA safety standards.
Cross-Functional Support: Utilize your skills in pipe fitting, pneumatics, and hydraulics to support the broader maintenance team as needed.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in 110, 120, 220, and 480-volt 3-phase AC electricity.
Specialized Knowledge: Prior experience with Reco or Frigoscandia brand freezers and nitrogen flash freezers is highly desired.
Core Skills: Strong background in pipe cutting/threading, conduit installation, wiring, and hydraulic systems.
Reliability: A track record of excellent attendance, punctuality, and a "team-first" attitude.
Consistent Schedule: A steady 4-day work week.
