Referral Triage Coordinator- Tissue

If you have experience in a healthcare or research setting, consider becoming a Referral Triage Coordinator-Tissue. In this role, you will be responsible for rapidly triaging communication from hospital partners and evaluating referrals for tissue donation opportunities. This role relies heavily on communication with internal and external staff, via phone, and documentation throughout the referral process.

  • This shift is: 10p-10a, Wednesday-Friday and every other Saturday. You will have the option to work remotely or hybrid but must reside within our Donor Service Area (Colorado & Wyoming.) While remote, in-person meetings are required for departmental and organization meetings.
  • Communication between multiple teams and hospital staff within tight timeframes is challenging and vital to making our mission happen.
  • Managing and coordinating incoming referrals while maintaining accurate and timely documentation is key in this role.
  • Gather information to determine the initial suitability for tissue donation.
  • Triage incoming referral information and communication with community members and external partners.
  • Support logistics of donation activity through continuous communication.
  • You will use a variety of systems to access medical records and charts to collect clinical information.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Critical Thinking- We face many challenges. Having the ability to assess complex cases and make informed, time-sensitive decisions is key.
  • Relationship Management - Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Medical Terminology/Anatomy and Physiology - Comfort with medical terminology and an understanding of anatomy is highly preferred.
  • Referral Management - Experience managing referrals or medical records in a healthcare or research setting is preferred.

  • $27.40-$30.82/hr.
  • $3.00/hr., any hours worked between 7p-7a
  • Non-Exempt- eligible for overtime
