Referral Specialist/HIS Clerk On-Call

The Referral Specialist/HIS Clerk is responsible for seeing that timely specialist/procedural referrals are made which follow that patient's insurance and referring provider's specifications.

Qualifications:

Understands and has the ability to demonstrate the importance of exemplary customer service. Ability to exercise critical thinking skills, multi-task, take initiative, and take ownership to follow through with responsibilities according to established policies and procedures. Ability to work cooperatively as a productive member of a team. Ability to use multi-line phone system, computer systems, and general office equipment. Ability to type proficiently and understand the keyboard. Trustworthiness and accuracy in money-handling. Ability to adapt to change and new technologies to perform successfully. Ability to comply with HIPAA laws and accreditation requirements. Ability to correspond and access databases preferred.
