Pride Health is hiring a
Specimen Processing / Referral Representative I to support our client’s medical facility in following cities,
Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 3-month assignment and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Referral Representative I to support specimen processing and referral testing operations at a clinical laboratory in Pittsburgh. This role will handle specimens being sent to referral laboratories while also serving as a liaison between internal teams, clients, and referral vendors.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience, strong customer-service and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced third-shift environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Retrieve, sort, and process specimens for shipment to referral laboratories.
- Inspect specimens for quality, quantity, temperature, specimen type, and required information.
- Prepare specimens and shipments according to applicable IATA regulations.
- Handle customer and client inquiries regarding test results, service failures, and quality issues.
- Communicate with clients regarding routine medical/technical testing and result-reporting matters.
- Research test availability and select appropriate referral vendors using established protocols.
- Investigate and resolve complex referral-testing issues.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience

- Location: Pittsburgh, PA
- Job Type: 13-week contract
- Pay Range: $24 - $29 (Hourly)
- Shifts:3rd Shift, 9:00 PM–5:30 AM
