Job Description:

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Occasional travel to Central Texas locations may be required.

Location: Hybrid role based at Texas Health Medical Associates Administration, 777 S. Burleson Blvd., Burleson, TX 76028. Onsite attendance required for meetings, training, and business needs, typically once per week or as needed.

  • Oversees the day-to-day workflow and performance of the Referral Coordinator team.
  • Manages hiring, training, coaching, evaluations, and progressive discipline when necessary.
  • Ensures staff receive clear and timely communication on policies, procedures, and referral requirements.
  • Monitors employee attendance and completes necessary time adjustments before payroll deadlines.
  • Shares engagement survey results, develops action plans, and drives progress to improve team morale and appreciation.
  • Manages eligibility verification, insurance identification/uploading, and document scanning.
  • Confirms all documents and authorizations are fully completed, accurate, and signed.
  • Answers phones, routes calls, provides routine information, and responds professionally to patients, health plans, providers, and clinic staff.
  • Maintains consistent attendance, delivers excellent customer service, and works efficiently with a sense of urgency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree [Required]

Work Experience:

  • 1 year health care experience [Required]
  • 5 years of position related experience [Preferred]

Additional Information:

  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:  
  • Bachelor’s degree AND 1+ years of experience OR  
  • Associates degree AND 3+ years of experience OR 
  • High School Grad or Equiv AND 5+ years of experience
