Job Description:
Job Summary: As a Refrigeration Technician II, you'll perform mid-range diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and most repairs and replacements.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Troubleshooting / Maintenance / Repair & Replacement:
- Performs mid-range diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Performs basic to advanced welding
- Performs most repairs / replacements and preventative maintenance in assigned specific classification
- Usually works alone on repair orders
- Provides some training
- Diagnoses / detects / repairs refrigerant leaks
- Diagnoses / repairs electrical components, oil leaks, fuel systems, refrigeration systems, a variety of engines, charging systems, exhaust systems, starting systems, and cycle sentry electronics
- Performs Refrigeration Tech I duties

Qualifications & Key Requirements:
Work Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a mechanic - Required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- A high skilled level of welding - Required
- Computer skills - Required
- Ability to read schematic diagrams - Required
- Ability to perform intermediate repairs - Required
- Work in a team environment - Required
- Obtain the minimum expected tool set - Required
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED or equivalent education - Required
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current CDL - Required
- OEM certification in basic refrigeration, electrical, and welding / soldering - Required
- Certification in AC refrigerant 608 - Required
- Certification in AC repair - Required
- Complete TMT training - Required
- Meet H-E-B driving qualifications - Required
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Lift 100 lbs and carry a distance of 5 ft
- Work sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and in a prone position
- Work with hands over head
- Climb; work from a ladder
