Recycling Coordinator

Reports to: Dottie Kelly

Department: ISO

Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly

Mobility Profile: On Location

Position Summary: Primary function is to be the internal endpoint for recycling processes before materials are recycled or disposed of externally, with most hours worked outside.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Sort and separate various construction and demolition materials for recycling
  • Handling of waste hoppers and dumpsters
  • Frequent forklift operation
  • Collect and bundle cardboard and plastic
  • Use of compactors and balers
  • Maintain wash water systems and water treatment
  • Active team member of Spill Response and Prevention Team
  • Groundskeeping
  • Hazardous material disposal and handling
  • Assist with material handling and receiving, production process, and maintenance as needed

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to push, pull, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Works in an environment that includes exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Work primarily involves standing, may involve a moderate amount of bending / stretching.
