    About the Role

    As a Recruitment & HR Specialist, you’ll help True Friends find, hire, and welcome the people who make our mission possible. You’ll manage recruitment for employees and volunteers, build relationships with candidates and hiring managers, and help create a positive experience from application through onboarding.

    This is a people-focused role that combines high-volume recruitment, candidate engagement, hiring coordination, onboarding, and other HR projects. You’ll work closely with hiring managers, Marketing, and other partners to understand staffing needs, attract qualified candidates, and keep the hiring process moving.

    Your work will have a direct impact on True Friends’ ability to provide meaningful experiences for children and adults with disabilities.

    What You’ll Do

    Your responsibilities may include:

    • Partner with hiring managers and Marketing to identify recruitment needs and develop strategies to attract qualified candidates

    • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, reviewing applications, interviewing, extending offers, and supporting onboarding

    • Manage recruitment activities through applicant tracking system(s), ensuring an organized and efficient hiring process

    • Build relationships with candidates and provide timely communication throughout the recruitment process

    • Coordinate and participate in recruitment events, including occasional evenings and weekends

    • Conduct required background and reference checks

    • Ensure new hires complete required employment paperwork and documentation

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and recruitment partners

    • Support seasonal and year-round recruitment initiatives

    • Contribute to other HR projects and initiatives as assigned

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Schedule

    • Full-time, year-round

    • Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

    • Hybrid work option may be available

    • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for recruitment events and organizational needs

    What You’ll Bring to the Table

    • 1+ year of high-volume, full-cycle recruitment experience preferred

    • 1+ year of experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred

    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information

    • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Bookings, and Forms

    • Ability to successfully complete the required organizational background study

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    This position works primarily in an office environment and regularly interacts with employees, candidates, hiring managers, volunteers, and other partners.

    Staff should be prepared to:

    • Sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands throughout the workday

    • Hear and communicate verbally

    • Use a desktop or laptop computer and standard office equipment

    • Travel to other True Friends locations and recruitment events as needed

    • Work occasional evenings and weekends for recruitment events and organizational needs

    Specific physical demands and environmental conditions may vary based on the assignment.

    Compensation

    Annual Salary: $49,000
