Description
We are seeking an ambitious, proactive, and execution-driven Recruiting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will own the full recruitment lifecycle—from initial intake and active talent sourcing to screening, interviewing, and closing top-tier talent.
The ideal candidate does not rely on passive "post and pray" methods. Instead, you will bring true initiative and gumption to our talent acquisition pipeline, implementing aggressive outbound sourcing strategies, building warm candidate pipelines, and acting as a trusted talent advisor to our hiring managers. Ultimately, you will create strong talent pipelines for ODM’s current and future hiring needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage end-to-end recruitment searches across technical, operational, and commercial functions.
- Active Outbound Sourcing: Drive targeted outbound talent searches utilizing LinkedIn, professional networks, social media, and industry databases to engage passive prospects.
- Hiring Manager Partnership: Form close, consultative relationships with department heads to define role requirements, clarify interview criteria, and establish structured interview loops.
- Screening & Assessment: Review resumes, conduct rigorous initial phone/video interviews, perform reference or background checks, and evaluate cultural alignment and capability.
- Pipeline & Relationship Building: Actively build and maintain a consistent pipeline of warm leads by networking with local organizations, industry groups, and university career centers.
- Candidate Experience Management: Deliver an exceptional, high-touch experience for all applicants, guiding them transparently through the interview, offer negotiation, and closing stages.
- Infrastructure & Tracking: Maintain and optimize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate data input, candidate tracking, and metrics compliance.
- Onboarding & Operations: Assist with the transition from candidate to new hire by coordinating onboarding frameworks and processing initial hiring paperwork.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience, ideally within a fast-paced or rapidly growing corporate environment. Construction and trades experience a plus.
- Sourcing Mastery: Exceptional outbound sourcing instincts with a demonstrated ability to research unfamiliar talent pools and map highly competitive markets.
- Communication & Navigation: Superb interpersonal, negotiation, and verbal/written communication skills, including the ability to confidently handle candidate objections and pitch company value propositions.
- Execution Mindset: Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership and the speed necessary to manage multiple open requisitions under pressure without sacrificing quality.
- Tech Savvy: High proficiency with modern recruiting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, modern ATS frameworks) and intermediate to advanced skills with standard office software (Excel, Outlook).
- Compliance Knowledge: Basic familiarity with U.S. employment practices and labor laws preferred.
- Professional Credentials: Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM, PHR, or specific Talent Acquisition certificates) are a strong plus.
