What you'll do:

We are excited to announce a dynamic remote opportunity for a talented recruiter to join our growing team from anywhere in the United States. In this role, you will support executive and senior leadership hiring across Viasat, reporting directly to the Head of Executive Recruitment. Ideal for someone who thrives on high-touch recruitment, proactive talent sourcing, and operational excellence, this temporary position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional candidate experiences while helping you build deeper expertise in leadership recruiting.

 

The day-to-day:
  • High-Touch Candidate & Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with hiring leaders, P&C partners, and interview teams to ensure executive searches progress smoothly and candidates receive high-quality experience throughout the process.
  • Search Set Up & Foundational Alignment: Partner with the Head of Executive Recruiting to draft and refine job descriptions, organize role requirements, and translate intake discussions into clear competencies and structured evaluation criteria.
  • Direct Sourcing & Pipeline Building: Conduct talent research and proactive sourcing to build pipelines and candidate slates for current and future leadership hiring needs.
  • Assess Talent with Precision: Where applicable, conduct recruiter screens, assess candidate qualifications against defined assessment criteria, and recommend prospects for advancement within the search process.
  • Agency Engagement: Partner with external executive search firms, including tracking candidate submissions, maintaining alignment on process and timelines, and ensuring a seamless experience across internal and external workstreams.
  • Data-Driven Evaluation: Leverage market intelligence, data, reporting, and talent insights to support search progress, assess talent and availability and inform discussions.
  • Values Alignment: Ensure that Viasat’s core values, cultural attributes, leadership competencies, and commitment to inclusion are embedded into the recruitment, sourcing, and evaluation processes.
  • Process Governance: Ensure every candidate interaction, data point, and decision is captured cleanly and consistently. Maintain accurate ATS records, ensuring feedback completion, preparing candidate profiles, and tracking search progress.
  • AI & Process Improvement: Support the integration of AI tools and workflows into recruiting processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and overall execution.

 

What you'll need:
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, including experience supporting senior leadership or director-level hiring within a corporate environment.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, with the credibility to engage with senior leaders and executive level candidates.
  • Experience using sourcing tools, market insights, and outreach techniques to identify and engage talented professionals.
  • Familiarity with modern recruiting tools, including ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and emerging AI-enabled solutions.
What will help you on the job:
  • Prior experience recruiting within a global technology, aerospace, or telecommunications environment.
  • Experience recruiting for international vacancies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot and recruiting technologies, to streamline workflows, improve organization, develop presentations, and enhance recruitment delivery and candidate/hiring manager experience.
Salary range: $87,000.00 - $137,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $107,500.00- $161,500.00/ annually  : At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
