About the Role We are seeking a Recruiter / HR Specialist to support hiring and people operations across several growing businesses in accounting, marketing, print/production, and technology services. This role will begin with a strong focus on recruiting and talent acquisition, while also supporting HR processes and employee operations as the organization grows.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to step into an early, high-impact role, work across multiple business lines, and help build a stronger hiring function from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead recruiting efforts for open roles across multiple businesses and departments
Draft, post, and manage job listings across major hiring platforms
Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and direct outreach
Screen applicants, conduct initial interviews, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers
Coordinate interviews, candidate communication, feedback collection, and offer-stage follow-up
Maintain organized hiring pipelines, candidate records, and recruiting trackers
Support offer letters, onboarding coordination, and other core HR and people operations tasks
Help improve hiring workflows, documentation, and recruiting processes as the organization grows
Partner with leadership to understand hiring needs, priorities, and evolving staffing plans
What We’re Looking For
2–5+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or related HR experience
Strong sourcing, screening, communication, and follow-through skills
Able to manage multiple open roles and shifting priorities without losing organization
Comfortable working in a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial environment
Professional, polished, and confident working with leadership and candidates alike
Experience with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn recruiting, and standard hiring platforms
HR or people operations experience is a plus, but recruiting strength is the priority
Work Style
Hybrid role based in the Chicago area
In-office schedule will vary based on business needs; some weeks may require little in-person time, while others may require multiple days
The structure is intentionally flexible and may evolve as the organization grows
